The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, installing and troubleshooting Group network systems (including wireless and VoIP) to meet the functional objectives of the business.
The role is involved with the configuration and maintenance of physical and logical network components.Providing assistant to the Head of Infrastructure and Operations in the design of the network architecture, the network infrastructure, and planning and designing of LAN/WAN/wireless/VoIP solutions.
Performing capacity and resource planning, assessing network risks and contingency planning.
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of network management software; researching, analyzing and implementing software patches or hardware changes to fix any network deficiencies. Provides Level 3 and 3 support.
Involved in the evaluation of new products and services, including managing vendor service level agreements.
Works on one or more projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader. May coach more junior technical staff.
Work may involve providing onsite and remote support to our site offices sometime beyond normal work hours to support business needs.
Can work independently and as part of a team to answer service desk calls, urgently analyze technical issues, address Level 2 escalations, work with the project manager on team related projects, and troubleshoot over the phone/onsite/via remote access.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technologies: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and other security systems, data protection systems, cloud infrastructures.
2. Microsoft related technologies: AD, Windows Server, Office365, SQL, SharePoint
3. Virtualization technologies: VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft
4. Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services
5. Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications
6. Perform network assessments and security audits and ensure compliance with Security Best practices and IS policies
7. Participate in the administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system
8. Deploy and troubleshoot technologies, perform Root Cause Analysis.
9. Document and maintain all computer systems and network infrastructure
10. Communication with stakeholders keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
11. Be available for other junior staff and coach them to resolution

Mandatory: English
Arabic language would be advantageous
8+ years of work experience in relevant enterprise organisations environments in network design, implementation, administration and support.
Cisco & Avaya, VMWare, Microsoft, Azure, AWS
Mandatory Design & Deploy complete IT Infrastructure
