Responsible to review as-built structural drawings for compliance with the required standard of quality and safety.
Reviews proposed structural engineering changes received from the contractors and advises the Resident Engineer of any potential issues.
Works with the Construction Team to define workable structural engineering solutions as required for the construction package(s) assigned.
Reviews method statements and provides comments related to structural engineering designs.
Provides answers to structural engineering-related RFIs in conjunction with the Design Team and Engineer.
Conducts periodic inspections to determine if structural works have been done in accordance with contract specifications.
May be required to witness tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slumps, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades survey, bolt torques, and concrete coring.
Supports the inspection and monitoring of piling installation to ensure location and bearing.
Calls for additional testing or repeat testing as required.
Prepares periodic special reports summarizing structural engineering-related issues related to construction activities.
Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the construction project.
Performs other structural engineering tasks as may be deemed necessary.
المهارات
Bachelor’s degree in Structural/Civil Engineering.
Fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience providing structural engineering services for construction of infrastructure projects.
Experience in the construction of large parks involving landscape, irrigation and water features.
Registration as a professional engineer desirable.
Proven ability to perform in a technical role.
Good written and oral communications skills.
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required.
