Description
The program coordinator is responsible for providing academic leadership and oversight of the foundation studies program.Provide academic leadership in discipline-specific knowledge skills & attributes, development and alignment of the course learning outcomes, learning activities and assessment of the programs.Assist to effectively manage the delivery of teaching and learning and ensure the programs are coherent in design, planning, management, delivery and assessment.The role also includes teaching, provision of student academic advice and staff management.Support students to experience university life while studying in a supportive, specialised environment.
Profile
Tertiary qualifications at a postgraduate level and extensive teaching experience in the relevant discipline areaDemonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in the delivery of high quality teaching and curriculum development at the tertiary education levelAbility to engage students in learning activities, contributing to the development of scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learningHigh level of written and oral communication skillsThe ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with academic and administrative staff and students5+ years of experience in the education sector as a university professor/program coordinatorComputer literacy relevant to the role, including competency with the MS Office suite
