The Role The role of the Solutions Architect is to be the technical conduit between the Sales and Delivery teams through the architect and design process. In addition, the Solution Architect is the vision holder for the solution concept from offering to outcome and is responsible for ensuring the customer value realisation post-sale. The Solution Architect is involved in; o The Sales Process by continually assessing customers and market landscape for opportunities with Services Sales and is actively involved in the customer facing sales process for key deals and customers, o Providing input to and validation of Pre-Sales High Level proposals o Develops or drives development of High Level Designs for Customers which incorporate industry and Hitachi best practices o Ensure Detailed Designs produced by the delivery teams are aligned with High Level Designs and customer requirements (post sale), o Co-developing and co-creating new and customised offerings with the customer and Unified Offering Management. o Serves as solution support during the delivery of the engagement, and o Leads and participates in Technical Communities for their specialisation o The creation of knowledge management articles and execution of all knowledge management tasks in accordance with defined processes, procedures and personal KPIs

Requirements Business or similar degree qualification preferred Certified consultant or technology equivalent accredited in specialist area. At least 9 years of technical IT-related experience. Minimium 7 years of technical consultancy and enterprise experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience within Hitachi technologies, a similar competitor, end user or IT consultancy services provider. Communication and presentation skills – strong ability to present and translate very complex storage solutions or strategies into messages relevant for the desire audience. Depth of understanding of the market conditions and requirements in the practice specialty area. Good knowledge of ITIL. Good knowledge of Hitachi products and services related to the practice area. Practical ‘hands on’ experience of the delivery of practice-related services, knowledge of the techniques, sensitivities, and issues that arise. Knowledge of IT development processes and IT technologies. Experience in designing and implementing and documenting solutions within defined technology areas Technical aptitude to enable information about Hitachi products and services to be absorbed and applied to solve business problems. A willingness to accept responsibility and to take the lead on projects and programs with new technologies and disseminate knowledge and feedback to the wider team. Demonstrating leadership versatility – leads by example and motivates and inspires others and able to interact successfully with customers, vendors and employees at all levels in the organisation. Conflict management – able to remain calm under pressure and able to diffuse difficult situations by effectively managing customer expectations. Persuasive influencing – tailoring information, insights and arguments for different stakeholders.
