Construction/Project manager

My Client is a well-known large developer currently looking for a Construction/Project manager from a developer background to support their ongoing efforts to further drive their growth.
Key Requirements:
· To provide a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, Clients and Visitors.
· Own the project programme and ensure timely delivery in terms of cost, specifications, and Client satisfaction.
· To optimize utilization of men, material, equipment and staff.
· Manage, improve and build relations with Clients, and consultants and can accept and promote change for favourable business gains.
· Control and direct the work of all site-based operations.
· Close coordination with all departments to ensure uninterrupted progress on site.
· Optimization of all resources with a view to control cost and maximize productivity.
· To achieve a ‘right first time’ philosophy on site.
Key Responsibilities:
· To work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate programmes of work.
· Deployment and redeployment of staff based on the project.
· To plan and implement safe operations and systems of work including training and induction and ensure compliance.
· To deliver relevant targets, key dates and milestones.
· To anticipate resource levels and ensure the effective selection and deployment of key plant, labour and materials.
· Actively assist and advise in the career progression of all subordinates.
· To monitor the performance of subordinates against their roles and responsibilities.

Desired Candidate Profile
Skills required:
· FIDIC contract knowledge and exposure is vital with strong budgetary control experience
· Leadership and people management skills & Influencing skills
· Possess excellent communication skills and business presentation skills.
· Arabic speaker is preferable
· The ability to effectively negotiate is essential.
· The ability to work with initiative when outside influences affect planned operations
· Logical and well organized with ability to prioritize
· Managers must have worked and managed large projects on his own.
· Graduate in Engineering (Civil), Experience in the UAE/Gulf preferred
· 10-12 years of experience in construction industry out of which the last 3 years should have functioned in the similar capacity of a medium/large construction industry company.
