Senior Barista – RX Coffee Apothecary
Job Description
We are looking for Senior Barista, with a good knowledge of Specialty Coffee Industry, to serve and prepare our Specialty Coffee.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to) as follows:
• Lead all coffee related deliverables and assist in developing core coffee concepts
• Responsible to search, collaborate and partner with right coffee suppliers/roasteries and import café
• Train staff and Barista to brew and serve coffee
o Train staff on the technical parts of machines and how to use the equipment’s effectively and with complete optimization
o Develop initiatives such as cupping sessions for customer visit and raising awareness
o Assist in creating workshops for basics of brewing in store
• Lead all supplier related queries and search for suitable suppliers for all café matters
• Adapt to new practices and ensure sustainable practices are in place
• Manage Junior baristas and develop their skills
• Track costing of all matters and develop strategies on quarterly basis on reducing costing of operation
• Recruit new staff and train them
• Help in recreating the coffee/beverage menu annually/seasonally
• Meet with coffee enthusiasts and raise awareness of the company’s beliefs and share best practices
• Seek mutual beneficial opportunities with industry peers …etc
• Engage with customers and share the company’s beliefs and story
• Advice on best practices to improve café business model
• Create a very coffee centric coffee work culture and keeping a positive work flow that serves as staff family promoting loyalty to both staff and customers
• Introduce new concepts or practices that promotes in the uniqueness of the company
o Study different coffee concepts globally and recreate new practices
• Develop trust relationship with farmers, roasteries, cafes globally
Requirements:
• Specialty Coffee experience is desired. Have good knowledge in Specialty Coffee Industry.
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently, as well as lead, manage, and motivate a team.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and stay cool under pressure.
• Analytical skills and a solid understanding of business management practices and strategies.
• Keen problem solver eager to tackle challenges in an organized and strategic manner.
• Local experience is a plus.
• Manage and maintain the Bar Area.
