Senior Quantity Surveyor with a minimum 7-10 years’ experience in the Construction industry, proficient in all aspects of Quantity Surveying including but not limited to: working knowledge of the FIDIC suite of contracts, budgeting, cost control, estimation, sub-contract management, commercial management and reporting, contractual notices and letters, final accounts, variations and claims, methods of measurement such as SMM7, CESMM3 and POMI.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of tender documentation.
Preparing cost estimates and budgets.
Preparing detailed bill of quantities, rate build-up and quantity verification.
Take off quantities for estimating and material ordering purposes.
Evaluation of supply chain quotations and proposals.
Contract negotiations
Liaise closely with the Project Manager on all commercial matters.
Identify circumstances entitling the company to additional cost and/or time and immediately notify Client.
Prepare contractual notices and correspondence, submitting within the time limits allowed for in the Contract.
Prepare, submit and agree monthly valuations, re-measurement, variations, interim payment and final accounts.
Produce monthly operating statements/cost reports by the prescribed deadlines and present to the team.
Cash Flow analysis and forecasting.Preparation of EOT claims, narrative and cost impact analysis.
Risk analysis and mitigation.
Attend Client Progress and Commercial
Meetings, compiling associated progress reports.
Discharging all contractual responsibilities upon the completion of projects.
Support and develop other commercial staff within the organisation.
المهارات
Be a proactive, energetic and an approachable person with good communication skills.
Have a commercial degree from a reputable university.
Have a proven track record, experience of managing projects and leading a team.
Experience in the GCC region, a background in the MEP field and an affiliation with RICS, CIOB or ICE are favourable.
