The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational, financial and legal
Affairs of the company. The General Manager is responsible for the hiring and supervision of and administering benefits for all staff and provides leadership to assist staff in functioning as a team.
S/he provides leadership in maintaining a Profitable, productive, cost effective, safe workplace.
Related Task
Finance Management
· Lead the team in preparation of annual budgets, regular variance statements and annual audit
· Provide information to the management regarding overall financial health of the company
· Provide recommendations regarding effective utilization of long and short term debt, including refinancing and purchasing/sales.
· Monthly reports to be prepared detailing significant operational activities, profit and loss, cash flow, balance sheet etc.
· Quarterly reports on strategy development
· Has a personal commitment to organizational excellence; Displays honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics in all decision and actions
Operations Management, Marketing & PR:
· Develop and lead a high performance team to achieve production targets.
· Maintain a close liaison and coordination with all business partners/ associates/ clients and suppliers with emphasis on obtaining additional business.
· Plan and execute running of existing business and expand by setting up new opportunities in line with the company’s expansion plans.
· Develop effective sales / sales promotion and customer contact campaigns to enhance services of the company.
· Liaison and negotiation with suppliers on purchases and technical matters.
· Contracting and maintaining annual contracts with suppliers
Corporate Management
· Develop and implement a medium-term strategy. Said strategy is to be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer for approval.
· Ability in implementing and delivering on boards of directors’ decisions and policies.
· Building and maintaining a high-performance culture through effective performance management, communication and coaching of staff and contractors.
· Provide clear leadership and promote and foster a team culture consistent with the organizations values
