Responsible for Managing/designing/installing/supporting and providing ongoing administration for the Hadoop platform OS and related HW.
Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes using tools.
Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Hadoop MapReduce routines.
Screen Hadoop cluster job performances and capacity planning
Monitor Hadoop cluster connectivity and security
File system management and monitoring.
Diligently teaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application and business intelligence teams to guarantee high data quality and availability.
Data modelling, design & implementation based on recognized standards.
Software installation and configuration.
System and Database backup and recovery.
Database connectivity, security and user management.
Software patches and upgrades.
Take care of cleansing of the raw data received from data sources and load only data that is required for business reports/statistics.
Removing or correcting errors, which are reported due to incorrect linking of fields from various tables and their co-relation.
Data enhancement, harmonization or standardization, which makes the queries faster and report in linear fashion.
Benchmark systems, analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them.
In depth and hands on experience in all components of the Hadoop ecosystem.
