الوصف الوظيفي
The role of the Learning Support Assistant is to provide additional support, throughout the school day, academically and psychologically, to Special Educational Needs students. They support the student, in his/her school academics by helping fill in the gaps in the learning process, to help the student build self-confidence as well as to promote positive interaction in the classroom by helping the student focus on important concepts, and over all help the student to develop academic and social skills.
• To provide learning support for the Special Educational Needs students in class or in withdrawal situations, either 1:1 or small groups.
• To develop knowledge of the particular needs of the student and seek advice from Inclusion Manager/Special Educational Needs Coordinator, class teacher.
• To aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
• To make or modify resources as suggested and advised by the Inclusion Manager /Special Educational Needs Coordinator, Educational Psychologist.
• To be involved in the planning and preparation of the day to day class activities.
المهارات
• Bachelor degrees or Associate degree.
• Courses in Education and/or Psychology preferred.
• The competency in English language, GCSE, ‘O’ Level or equivalent qualifications in English language, bilinguals (Arabic & English) are preferred.
• A Childcare qualification level 2 and /or 3, would be desirable.
Two continuous years of experience dealing with Special Educational Needs Students as a full time shadow teacher. (Preferred)
The priority will be given to those who dealt before with Special Educational Needs Students, in helping them to take part in learning process through the inclusive practice of the school.
Have an understanding of lesson planning, IEPs and learning objectives to contribute to growth and develop.
Knowledge and understanding of the school’s Health and Safety policy.
Understanding of co-work with the teacher to support the student growth, develop and meet their learning goals and objectives
