Job Description The Physics department at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a research associate position in computational physics to work on density functional theory (DFT). The project aims to use state-of-the-art DFT packages (such as Atomistix ToolKit “ATK”) to investigate the effect of dopants and catalysts on gas sensing and energy storage properties in graphitic systems under the supervision of Prof. Nacir Tit. The completion of MSc or PhD degree in Physics or Materials Science is required. Research experience in DFT is desirable. The appointment will be initially made for one year with full possibility of extension for another one year depending upon satisfactory performance. The UAEU is the largest and the top-ranked University in the United Arab Emirates. The application package should include a cover letter, a detailed resume, and two letters of references.
Minimum Qualification MSc in Physics or MSc in Materials Science & Engineering
Preferred Qualification MSc in Physics
