Job Description and Requirements
Desired Qualifications/Certifications:
Bachelor degree from an accredited institution in Occupational Therapy minimum of 3 years course duration. Or Direct Entry to a recognized program with attainment of a MSc degree in Occupational Therapy.
Current National License or membership in a recognized international registration board.
Basic Life support (BLS).
Clinical experience in wheelchair seating in adults/pediatrics, splinting or casting, developmental screening with pediatrics and community based experience in treating adult patients with neurological disorders.
License: Eligible for Department of Health License or transferable UAE license as an Occupational Therapist.
Preferred Experience: Not less than 3 years as an Occupational Therapist in an acute hospital or community based rehabilitation setting.
Responsibilities:
Assessment of patients with complex conditions - adults or pediatrics.
Ability to formulate community based treatment plan.
Use appropriate outcome measures for assessment and reassessment.
Ability to assess for equipment for home modifications and mobility devices.
Ability to work both independently and part of an MDT in a community setting.
