Job Description The Geology Department at the United Arab Emirates University seeks candidates for laboratory specialist position in remote sensing and GIS to assist research and teaching activities in the remote sensing and GIS laboratory. Candidates must have research experience, and laboratory teaching experience in remote sensing and GIS, GeoInformatics and environmental applications. The job responsibility includes managing the lab’s formal and informal training program in GIS and RS, and day-to-day operations (e.g. basic hardware and software administration). The successful applicant should hold a minimum of an M.Sc. degree in remote sensing and GIS or related subjects. Candidates should be self-learners and team players, while to build on his/her skills. Excellent English communication skills, and laboratory management experience are also required. The position location will be the UAE University in Al Ain city. We offer a friendly, team-oriented and student-centered international working environment in laboratories equipped with up-to-date facilities.
Minimum Qualification MSc. in remote sensing and GIS or equivalent
Preferred Qualification MSc. or higher and established experience in Applied Remote Sensing and GIS.
