Job Description The Mechanical Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a Postdoctoral researcher in the area of shape memory alloy. The researcher should be knowledgeable of materials science and engineering. The candidate should be able to synthesize and, characterize shape memory alloys, especially NiTi alloys for different applications. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in the field of materials and materials mechanical properties and have a PhD degree in material science.
Minimum Qualification An appropriate educational degree supplemented with documented evidence to support the following: • Skilled in materials processing • Ability to synthesize and characterize materials • Good technical writing skills • Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role.
Preferred Qualification • Demonstrable experience in conducting successful research projects • Demonstrable willingness to support work in the lab • Be adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands • Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace
