Job Description The Civil & Environmental Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research assistant in the area of Structural Engineering. In this position, the candidate will be particularly involved with rehabilitation of structures studies which will involve finite element simulation and results analysis efforts. Thus, the research assistant should be knowledgeable in the use of fiber reinforced polymers for rehabilitation of structures and the use of finite element computer software. The candidate should also have excellent English expression skills. Minimum Qualification • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent; • Excellent English expression skills Preferred Qualification • Be a self-starter and take initiative • Be productive under a limited-supervision work environment • Be able to think independently and creatively • Pay attention to details and strive for excellence
