This position serves as the subject matter expert for the Program Management team
and is responsible for all aspects of contracts management.
To safeguard the company’s interests in all aspects of commercial/contracts
management lifecycle. Maintain and manage existing contract(s) and provide legal
knowledge and guidance to the Project Team.
The contracts manager will work closely with the Senior Program Manager, Project
Managers and Program Director and act as the Point of Contact with Customer and its
contracts team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Negotiating, drafting and recommending agreements with external customers.
Analyzing and interpreting complex contract terms and conditions, advising on their
impact and associated risk and liability to Project Team
Addressing potential conflicts of interest between all parties including the Project
Team, Customer (Contractor) and our Sub-contractors.
Working closely with the Project Team, ensuring that project proposals do not
prejudice later negotiation stages relating to price, intellectual property or other
contractual matters.
Liaising with the Contracts Team, Pre-Sales Team and all other teams as
appropriate.
Evaluating and negotiating ownership of and access to intellectual property and
developing appropriate exploitation strategies.
Maintaining awareness of relevant legislation, Government initiatives and regional
policies / Industry Interactions commensurate with the responsibilities of the job.

Qualifications and Experience:
Formal education in terms of Diploma, Degree or equivalent
5-10 years experience in dealing with contracts especially in Construction related
projects
