• Medical Coder Preferably from Medical Background with 2 – 3 years’ experience in Outpatient (multispecialty) in Abu Dhabi / Al Ain.
• Excellent knowledge of insurance, DOH & Tasneef guidelines in UAE.
• Excellent communication and MS Excel Skills
Core Responsibilities for the position:
• Evaluating the documentation & coding the claims (submission & resubmission)
• Training the Physician, receptionist (billing and approvals), nurse, and allied staff.
• Participate in documentation improvement, internal / external coding (Tasneef), and payer audits.
• Monitoring the remittance on the DoH portal and ensuring timely allocation of paid claims.
• Report Trends (clinical documentation/denial/ utilization) critical to organizational performance.
• Provide a consolidated report on outstanding from Insurance payers.
• Routine reconciliation and closing of the book of accounts with the payer.
• Liaise with the payer as per the operational requirements.
