Hiring Contracts Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi
Project: Etihad Rail Package 2B (China Railway & Ghantoot Contracting) - Joint Venture
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Prepare and negotiate various forms of Design & Build and Build Subcontracts, Services and Supply Agreements, Work Orders, Settlement Agreements for Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Consultants.
• Administer the Subcontracts and Agreements.
• Prepare official instructions (CIS, CIC) to subcontractors and consultants.
• Prepare contracts amendments and supplemental agreements.
• Prepare / review the warranties, guarantees, and letters of undertaking.
• Monitor and Certify Payments Applications.
• Review, Evaluate, and Respond to correspondences ensuring the Main Contract and Subcontracts / Agreements are adequately implemented.
• Monitor and process Commercial and Contractual aspects pertaining to Variations/Change Orders in accordance with the set standard/procedure.
• Review & Evaluate Claims.
• Prepare Contractual & Commercial Claims and Counter Claims.
• Prepare / Review Settlement Agreements ensuring the Company’s best interest.
• Prepare Project’s close-out documents (Taking over Certificates, Defects Liability Certificates, Final Accounts, Statements at Completion, and Final Settlements).
• Report, Advise the Project Management on potential conflicts with Subcontractors.
• Liaise & Coordinate with Legal Advisors.
• Prepare Reports, Presentations and Meetings Records.
Preferred:
• Must be of Arabic nationality otherwise he/she should be fluent in Arabic
• Preferred to join immediately or the earliest possible.
• Must be available in the UAE
• Holder of a Master degree in construction management
• Holder of a professional certificate (MCIArb, MRICS)
• 10+ years total experience with minimum 5 years’ experience in contract and commercial
