Senior Engineer, Electrical
Job Grade: 13-16
JOB PURPOSE:
Supervise, provide technical guidance/ expertise and perform the activities of the Electrical Maintenance at ADNOC owned properties including Residential and VIP villas and other owned, leased properties within Abu Dhabi City and Ruwais City in order to achieve highest operational efficiency and long functional life. Participate / develop strategies to economize and obtain maximum output value from expenditure, materials, labour and energy. Administer and coordinate all activities related to electrical section with Civil Projects (CP&ES;). Ensure Implementation of Energy Management System as per the guidelines and prescribed method statements
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Operation and Maintenance Services
• Oversee the Electrical section activities of assigned subordinates, Hard FM Service providers and other related service providers who are responsible for the building Operation and Maintenance and systems integrity as per defined service levels agreements (SLA), KPIs specifications and operational Methodologies for ADNOC owned properties which include all office buildings and VIP staffs private accommodations in and outside Abu Dhabi city. • Assist in the establishment of the maintenance requirement of new properties that are being handed over to Electrical maintenance section. Prepare a detailed scope of work for carrying out the operation and maintenance requirement of these properties identifying the type and quantity of resources required and initiates tendering or variation formalities. • Support the development of strategies on facilities management for electrical systems in order to have an efficient and effective operational control of all maintenance activities related to Electrical Maintenance Section. • Assist in ensuring business continuity from operation and maintenance of Electrical systems perspective for ADNOC and its group of companies and academic institutions. • Provide functional parameters to Electrical Engineers, Supervisors and Foremen of the Electrical Maintenance Section, guide their works in the preparation of annual preventative and predictive maintenance programs, and ensure such programs are carried out in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and professional engineering standards, to enhance and maintain ADNOC assets and services. • Supervise/ ensure implementation of PPM plan, PPM Checklists, Method statement and Risk assessment processes in O&M;services. • Supervise/ ensure all operations and controls from BMS control rooms are smooth and meeting best engineering practices and standards. • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and operation of sound maintenance procedures, standards and engineering practices. Includes negotiating performance shortfalls with contractors, and recommending appropriate action; reviewing Engineer’s appraisal on contractor’s performance and producing overall rating and assessments etc. • Initiate technical proposals of the section regarding refurbishment, reconditioning and replacement or enhancing various equipment approvals, finalizing technical specifications and recommend the same to Section Head. • Discuss and recommend appropriate actions to modify/alter electrical systems to ensure continuous availability. • Supervise/ ensure implementation of quality management systems as per the documented procedures, Monitor, ensure Non-conformities are identified and ensure remedial actions for NCR, and measures their performances. • Liaise with contractor’s management on matters related to payments, standards and performance in monthly bases. • Review and confirm annual equipment spares requirement to ensure that such spares, stock items and non-stock items are available at all times. • Participate in the review and approval process of Manpower for Service Providers. Participate in the review & selection process of SSPs/Sub-contractors for Service Providers. • Participate and assist in conducting Contractor’s Performance Evaluations. • Review Monthly Progress reports & Payment certificates from Service Providers.

* Bachelor Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
* 8 years’ professional experience in electrical maintenance works, in a large organization. * Experience in inventory control and budgeting * Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions * Ability to plan and schedule daily and weekly work schedules for staff * The ability to communicate both in written and verbal form.
