Fatima College of Health Sciences (FCHS) was established by the Institute of Applied Technology in 2006, an aim to meet the United Arab Emirate’s growing need for the skilled healthcare professionals.
The college started by offering the Higher Diploma or BSc in the Nursing program and has since then expanded to offer other degree programs in Health Sciences including Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Radiology & Medical Imaging and the Emergency Health (Paramedic). FCHS has campuses based in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ajman, and Al Gharbia in the UAE.
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor (or other ranks subject to experience & publications) to teach the Bachelor of Pharmacy program. Applicants with following qualifications should apply:
المهارات
Essential:
PhD degree in Clinical Pharmacy and Masters in Clinical Pharmacy or PharmD degree with 2 years of residency from accredited university is a MUST.
At least three years of academic experience including developing course material and teaching Clinical Pharmacy subjects (Integrated Therapeutics, Pharmacology, PK/PD, and other relevant courses).
Must have worked as clinical pharmacist in a Hospital setting (licensed as a clinical pharmacist).
Excellent communication in English and computer literacy.
Contributes to administrative responsibilities as a member or chair within Pharmacy Department and/or at Institution level.
Desirable:
Teach any Clinical course in Integrated Therapeutics and/or Pharmacy Practice courses as needed
Organize and coordinate clinical training for students in different settings (hospital, community, primary care).
Publications in peer-reviewed journals (at least 3 and one as first author).
Experience in academic advising, administration, and student mentoring.
Undergraduate research projects supervision.
Registered as Clinical Pharmacist in UAE or country of origin.
