•Administers job safety program; audits and inspects job site to detect and correct safety hazards.
•Monitors the safety performance of all construction operations in assigned job site areas with respect to one or more elements of SHARP Management and the Parsons Construction Safety & Health Manual.
•Performs accidents record analysis, and issues reports on a regularly scheduled basis.
•Advises and assist the most senior construction site representative in the establishment and management of ESHARP Management and Parsons SH&E;processes, identifying and eliminating/controlling any hazards to persons and property.
•Advises and supervise Consultants and Contractors in a broad range of safety and health hazard preventions and enforcement to the Contractors and project personnel on sites.
•Audits and inspects the job site to detect and correct safety hazards.
•Supervises first aid personnel in providing first aid care of occupationally injured or ill personnel.
•Periodically conducts OSH Audits and prepare reports. Prepares logistics plan for development. Initiates and conducts accident investigations and prepares job accident reports.
•Represents management during safety inspections of the job site by regulatory authorities or company insurance carriers.
•Receives, reviews and distributes safety inspection reports with recommended corrective actions. Prepares OSH reports for submitting to local authority in Abu Dhabi. Prepares OSH monthly reports for client submission.
•Conducts Unsafe Act/Unsafe Conditions Trend Analysis. Sets OSH Objectives and Targets and implements action plans and review performance.
•Provides oversight to the new hire safety orientation process and other safety related training.
•Conducts and review risk assessments for upcoming work and provides technical assistance to the safety planning process. Coordinates closely with Client’s Quality, Health and Safety Department on Safety requirement and reporting to minimize work construction disruption on site.
•Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications:
•Master s or bachelor s degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management or NEBOSH Diploma/ NVQ level 4/5 as a minimum. Membership of internationally recognized Safety Association such as IOSH/ ASSP.
•Minimum 12 years demonstrable experience in Health and Safety field, of which 5 years as HSE Engineer working with a reputable consultant in UAE. Must demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations of Abu Dhabi, requirements for construction projects and awareness of all hazards likely to exist at construction sites.
•The candidate shall be OSHAD- OSHMS Practitioner Grade A or B or shall have completed ADVETI/ ADEHSMS training. Lead Auditor qualification ISO: 45001 and holds valid UAE Driver s license.
