Position Summary:
Chef De Partie _ Pastry
Role Description:
Key Responsibilities/KRAs/KPIs: We are looking for a professional Chef De Partie – Pastry & Cake Artist.
The Chef De Partie and Cake Decorators primary for creating beautiful works of art on cakes, cookies, cupcake! Creativity, an eye for colour, placement, and scale is needed to replicate cake designs in a consistent and timely fashion.
We love to train our artists as well, so bring your talent and eagerness to learn and we will train you to release your ability to create!
Responsibilities:
Control quality and consistency of all food served.
Ensure functions are completed 30 minutes prior to service.
Understand and maintain all standard recipes.
Assist in controlling food costs.
Ensure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply on a timely basis.
Responsible for production of sweet items, pastries, cakes, fruit compotes, bread, chocolates, etc. for all outlets as well as banquets and amenities.
Keep walk-in, prep area and equipment up to Health Department standards at all time.
Assists in producing and plating Banquet pastries.
Work well under the pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines for pastry needs
Prioritize, organize, delegate work and follow through.
Produce creative and artistic food work.
Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
Work cohesively with the entire culinary staff as part of a team.
Maintain food preparation handling and correct storage standards.
Support procedures for food & beverage portion and waste controls.
Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
• Proven experience as Pastry Chef, Cake artist or relevant role.
• Great attention to detail and creativity.
• Organizing and leadership skills.
• Willingness to replenish professional knowledge.
• In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition.
