Established in 1962, The Club is a Private Member’s leisure facility for Abu Dhabi residents and their guests and one of the most successful clubs in the region.
Job description
• All chillers and freezers’ temperature must be checked 3 times a day and a temperature report sheet must be submitted to the Chief Engineer on a daily basis. Any irregularities must be reported to the Chief Engineer immediately
• All kitchen equipment must be checked daily. A daily meeting will take place with the Chief Engineer who will be briefed on the status of equipment and machines that require maintenance. Action will then be taken by the Chief Engineer to ensure all machines are fixed
• The Kitchen Equipment Technician must be present when any supplier comes to repair or service of any equipment in the kitchen
• Any repair or servicing of equipment must be written in the log book provided by the Operations Manager
• Train and supervise Kitchen stewards on how to clean kitchen machines. If staff are not cleaning machineries properly, it must be reported to the Chief Engineer
• Ensure kitchen machinery is handled correctly if it has to be moved. Any staff found mishandling machinery must be reported to the Chief Engineer immediately
• A monthly meeting will take place with the Operations Manager, Executive Chef and Chief Engineer to review maintenance issues
• Any function that requires kitchen machinery or lighting will be the responsibility of the Kitchen Equipment Technician to coordinate with the Executive Chef
• Daily, weekly and monthly schedules will be set by the Chief Engineer
• A monthly report of kitchen expenses must be kept for Chief Engineer
• Daily function sheets work requests is a high priority
