Senior Project Controls Engineer

OPPORTUNITY
Parsons provides project management, design and technical advice to a design and build contractor for construction of a world class promenade with 65,000 sq. meters of water front hard and soft landscaping. The primary feature of the project is the installation of a cycleway that provides cyclist circulation around the entirety of the islands. The design includes a public park with playgrounds, courts, water features and others.
JOB OVERVIEW
Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems. Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports.
Provides project and company management with the necessary tools for project cost control. May participate in the development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with all affected departments.
Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages. Develops or maintains an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keeps project and company management fully informed.
Customizes project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
المهارات
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in large-scale urban development, public realm and infrastructure projects.
Proven knowledge and experience using cost control software applications, Earned Value Methodology, cost controls, forecasting, trends analysis, and related cost / budget experience.
Preferably with significant experience in UAE handling consultancy, project management, construction supervision contracts.
Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in performance of duties.
Ability to interface with design, engineering, construction, contractor and client personnel.
Excellent written, oral communication skills, and presentation skills.
