OPPORTUNITY Parsons provides project management, design and technical advice to a design and build contractor for construction of a world class promenade with 65,000 sq. meters of water front hard and soft landscaping. The primary feature of the project is the installation of a cycleway that provides cyclist circulation around the entirety of the islands. The design includes a public park with playgrounds, courts, water features and others. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Reviews the design and specification of all external finishes, level changes, walls, minor structures, drainage, water features, plant materials, planting medium, preparation of the site, contours & grading and control of all horticultural practices for installation works. Reviews all construction documentation pertaining to the works including shop drawings, design proposals, material submittals, materials inspections. Assists the site QA/QC team to ensure the quality KPI’s are met and that the contractor understands quality requirements. Reviews and monitors the construction programme, reports on daily, weekly, monthly progress against the programme. Monitors the Contractor’s safety performance and liaises closely with the HSE manager, the Project Director and the Contractor to ensure safety KPI’s are met. Supervises the installation of the contract works on site, and reports on site works, progress, changes etc. Reviews and Monitors the procurement plan and reports on procurement progress/issues. Attends, reviews and approves all site inspections for completed work elements. Administers the contract to ensure the works are carried out as per contract specifications. Actively contributes to risk analysis and mitigation plans. Works closely with the cost manager to verify progress of the works against progress payments. Records daily progress with site photos/daily diary. Prepares progress reports for Project Director and weekly progress meetings. Attends factory visits/tests where required to inspect/approve materials. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. المهارات Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture or related discipline. At least 10 years of relevant experience in design and construction supervision of public realms, parks, urban development, public open spaces with hardscapes, softscapes, streetscapes, cycleways, waterfront, leisure facilities and other related works. At least 4 years of relevant experience in UAE or GCC. Adept with latest international engineering and quality standards, practices, and guidelines. Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in performance of duties.
