Child and educational psychologists focus on the study of learning outcomes, student attributes, and instructional processes directly related to the classroom and to individual differences in school learning. They assist in evaluating the student’s thinking abilities and assessing individual strengths and weaknesses within the classroom, helping to develop the best plan for the child’s academic success.
The role includes:
Problem solving discussions with parents, teachers and professionals (Consultation)
Specific Learning Difficulties assessments (e.g. Dyslexia, Dyscalculia)
School based observations (e.g. Classroom, playground)
General Learning assessments (e.g. IQ test, Executive functioning assessments)
Assessment and intervention for emotionally based difficulties (e.g. Anxiety, Anger, Stress)
IEP construction and review
Multidisciplinary assessment of neurodevelopment disorders
المهارات
Minimum Qualifications
Masters Degree in Educational Psychology
Two years of pediatric experience - post qualification
A love for children
