The ideal Logistics Associate will dive deep into data to understand everything about the datacenter asset lifecycle. Working with software development teams, they will contribute to continuous process improvements to deliver on our goals of high availability and low cost. The Logistic Associate will be required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company. As a Logistics Associate you are expected to understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and be willing and able to work on powered equipment (i.e forklift or cherry picker).
Responsibilities
Review and process of tickets via our Remedy system for parts requests and stock replenishments
Reviews datacenter inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities
Work with the Logistics Manager to create plans to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns
Site visits to support Audit and review on-site stock holdings
Processing of access forms, method statements and similar documentation
Facilitate with logistics and supply chain planning for remote project implementations
Generation of metrics dashboards for daily and weekly reviews and create reports for internal and external suppliers and management as required
Work with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts
Interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
Carry out manual tasks, e.g., assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations.
Handle incoming shipments, you may have to unpack boxes and verify contents
المهارات
Basic Qualifications
Relevant Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain
2+ years experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance and stock control functions
Good knowledge of IT and network equipment
Business written and verbal communications skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years experience of working within a complex logistics set-up within a data center
Experience of supporting projects
