• Carries out the assigned cabling tasks including laying, splicing, testing, fault location and maintenance activities promptly, systematically, efficiently and according to the prescribed procedures and standards.
• Supports as required the related civil works, duct blockage clearance and other preparatory/incidental activities associated with cable laying/repair.
• Assists in dewatering of manholes and junction boxes if required.
• Interfaces with the other Engineering sections in the unit as required on the cable jobs related to development and maintenance of Fiber Network (Cable Jointer/Splicer).
• Installation and maintenance of customer apparatus/equipment and systems.
