The ideal incumbent would be someone that has a demonstrated success in overseeing the overall procurement of the company while ensuring alignment to business unit’s located throughout UAE & KSA. This individual will track and report on market commodity, engage in new product implementation and support plant operations. The role provides exposure to senior leadership by recommending sourcing plans, gaining consensus and creating change throughout the organization. This position serves as the leader for the assigned global category and will have direct supervision by CEO.
This position will be based in Abu Dhabi.
Key focus on Steel, Polymer & Lime business procurement, supplier relationships, Scrap Management and on time supply of products.
Develop written supply agreements with suppliers, addressing risk management and commodity index pricing. Maintain relationship with suppliers’ leadership to ensure to commercial, service, and legal performance commitments.
Build and maintain a market report with forecasts to enable the business to respond in advance of emerging trends and market disruptors.
Develop and implement purchasing and contract management policies, and procedures.
Supervise and control the bidding process in order to ensure it is in line with the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
Embed adequate controls to ensure that the bidding process is effective, transparent and properly governed.
Manage the preparation and recommend the sectional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
Oversee the development of criteria for the selection of prequalified Contractors & Vendors and the subsequent monitoring of their commercial performance & ability.
