1.Supporting development of multiplex Real-Time PCR assays, from target selection through to laboratory validation in both regulated and non-regulated markets
2.Expertise in basic microbiology techniques (sterile technique, plating, cloning, fermentation, PCR, bacteria culture)
3.Plans and conducts analysis of specimens using advanced molecular methods for the diagnosis and/or detection of viruses including but not limited to influenza, measles, mumps, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), COVID-19, Zika, chikungunya, and dengue in clinical (respiratory, serum, urine, other) sample
Processes clinical samples in accordance with current standard operating procedures and regulations
4.Extracts nucleic acid using both manual and automated extraction methods and performs nucleic acid amplifications using real-time PCR and other methods as necessary
5.Assists Team Lead to coordinate laboratory workflow with other members of the Viral Isolation Team.
6.Collaborating with internal and external scientists on assay development
7.Initiative, organizational skills and ability to execute and document laboratory procedures and experiments with great attention to detail
8.Determined to optimize your experiments and produce quality work which can make an impact in human health, agriculture, industrial chemicals and other important applications
Requirement:
1.Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in same field or should have enough knowledge about Molecular Biology & PCR activities
2.Licence: DHA,MOH,HAAD Required.
3.Notice Period: Maximum 15 days
4.Qualification: MBA/ Relevant to biotechnology /biochemical /biochemistry
5.Job Location: Abu dhabi, UAE.
