An educational organization that focuses on teaching applied technology rather than academic subjects is looking for Workshop Engineers for Mechanical and Electrical Labs. The institution offers a rigorous educational and training program for students. They aim to provide innovative teaching, learning and training environments for students wishing to engage in future technical careers
Reporting to the Vice Principal, will assist in the preparation and delivery of practical Physics or Chemistry or Biology based subjects to national students. The incumbent is responsible for setting-up and assisting with workshop and laboratory practical lessons, maintaining tools and equipment and general housekeeping in accordance with the policies to ensure the quality of teaching and learning is maintained.
Setting-up workshop and laboratory practicallessons
Assisting in the delivery of practical workshop and laboratorylessons (approximately 8 classes per week)
Maintain records of tools, equipment andconsumables
Responsible for workshop and laboratoryhousekeeping
To develop and maintain resources for practical lessons andcourses
Responsibility for the care, maintenance, repair or replacement of equipment in workshops and laboratories
Develop and implement procedures for the preventative maintenance of tools andequipment
المهارات
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Physics or Chemistry or Biology or related discipline
Excellent oral and written English skills and could pass an IELTS at Academic Level 7
IC3 or ICDL Certified
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years industrial and/or Lab Instructor experience with Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, HVAC, Welding, Instrumentation & Control, Civil Engineering, etc.
Minimum 2 years working experience as a Workshop Assistant/Technician, preferably with a Technical Training Institution
