• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or equivalent with additional training in nautical subjects
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Maintain and coordinate repair of marine machinery and equipment for installation on outboard and inboard engine boats. This should include, but is not limited to, changing oil and filters, greasing the steering gear, anchor windlass, and others
• Procure materials needed to repair marine equipment and machinery.
• Schedule machine overhauls and the servicing of electrical, heating, ventilation, refrigeration, water, and sewage systems.
• Maintain and coordinate repair of marine machinery and equipment for installation on vessels.
• Monitor and test operations of outboard engines and other equipment so that malfunctions and their causes can be identified.
• Conducting plumbing and intake repairs.
• Troubleshooting outboard engine and electrical problems.
• Replacing broken or worn-out engine parts.
• Repairing faulty hydraulic and steering systems.
