1. Job purpose & Scope:
Carry out all control / instruments (except Fire & Gas system) activities on gas turbines, High pressure Water Injection Pumps and Auxiliaries, such as maintenance, repair, monitoring, testing, trouble shooting, reports on failed components, modules, cards, etc.

3. Principal Accountabilities:
a. Obtain work permits from Area Authority, examine faulty units and establish requirements for tools, parts and materials necessary to carry out the work.
b. Carry out preventive, predictive, breakdown, and routine maintenance on gas turbines control systems using correct tools and equipment.
c. Participate in major overhauls and carry out all control / instrumentation aspects of recommissioning work.
d. Issue comprehensive daily activity reports outlining the cause of the fault, the nature of the work and the materials, labour and time taken to complete the task.
e. Ensure that all tools and test equipment are kept clean and calibrated.
f. Ensure that site emergency stock is kept at an acceptable level.
Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted within Company standing instructions and procedures, and manufacturer’s guidelines.
h. Observe and follow Company HSE Procedures to ensure work is carried out in a safe manner. Exercise good house-keeping practices.
i. Participates in UAE Nationals ATI Graduates development — as directed by Team Leader.

4. Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts):
Regular contacts with personnel at own level in own and other departments especially to advise on work progress and follow-up on technical problems. Receives supervision from Gas Turbines Team Leader.
5. Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority:
Works in accordance with written instructions and preventive maintenance programmes established procedures and trade standards.
6. Physical Effort:
Standing, walking, climbing and using hand tools. Occasionally using instruments or test equipment in confined or awkward positions.
7. Work Environment:
Approximately 700/ of the working time is spent exposed to prevailing weather conditions, dirt, grease, and noise when on site. The remainder is spent in an air-conditioned environment. Frequency of Night calls is higher due to nature of equipments - (Vital).
8. Minimum Requirements:
a. Completion of Secondary Technical Education (12 Years) plus 2 years Advanced Vocational Education in Instruments / Controls / Electro-mechanics / Micro-processor.
b. 8 — 10 Years maintenance experience on Gas Turbines Controls, plus specific manufacturer’s training on Company machines Controls / Instruments.
c. Good command of English language, written and spoken.
