Position Overview
The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is part of the Contracts and Quantity Survey team and will be providing all necessary assistance to the Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Senior Cost Estimation Engineer for preparing the Bill of Quantities and Cost Estimates for design projects. He /She will be responsible for taking off quantities from the CAD drawings, calculating the quantities manually, assisting in preparing the Bill of Quantities, cost estimates etc.
Job Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Senior Cost Estimation Engineer in all matters relating to the preparation of the Bill of Quantities.
Take off quantities from the CADD Drawings and manual calculations.
Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Senior Cost Estimation Engineer for the Preparation of cost estimates.
Participate in all commercial meetings.
Maintain and streamline all cost and quantity records.
Prepare method of measurement for all BOQ items and present it for review.
Evaluate the unit rates for new work items and present it for review.
Assist in preparing the Particular Specification for general items
Assist in tender evaluations.
Assist in preparing the answers for the tender queries
Attend meetings in Client offices.
Assist in the QA/QC process.
المهارات
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering and 5 years demonstrable experience in Quantity Surveying and Contract Administration on major infrastructure, landscaping and irrigation projects preferably in UAE.
Must have a sound knowledge about contractual relationships.
Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
Must be fluent in Arabic both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
Must be available in UAE
