• Develops and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Prepares and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Communication of Health Safety & Environment Policy/Plans throughout the organization and ensuring its implementation
• Understands project requirements in accordance with applicable requirements, specification and code agreed in the contract
• Ensures effective implementation of IMS Management System manuals and procedures. Policy, Plans throughout the organization
• Evaluates practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• Conducts training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Reviews evaluate and analyze work environments and design site-specific programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent injuries
• For all Jobsite deficiencies, identifies a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies
• Monitors all construction work for compliance with safety requirements
• Evaluates working conditions and recommends changes in methods and work procedures in relation to safety methods, practices and procedures
• Recommends solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
• Assists in conducting inspections and enforcing adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals
• Disseminates information to Jobsite workers and others regarding toxic substances, hazards, and other safety information
• Assists Project Managers and administrators in enforcing safety regulations and codes
• Conducts Jobsite surveys on a periodic and regular basis to detect code violations, hazards, and incorrect work practices and procedures
• Inspects equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Investigates accidents or incidents to discover causes to recommend corrective action
• Reports on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
• Ensures implementation of Health Safety & Environment System, Safety Manuals & Procedures
• Ensures an effective safety program is available and understand by the personnel
• Carries out Risk Assessment i.e. CRA, TRA and JSA
• Participates and provides input for HAZOP, HAZAN, HAZID workshops
• Planning and arranging to secure critical danger works, confined space entry
• Carries out the periodic inspection to identify the unsafe working condition and unsafe practices and making remedial recommendations
• Conducts audits, investigation of accidents & incidents, near miss and find the root cause in taking up corrective measures and actions
• Ensures field contingency plans and performing duties in emergency cases
• Ensures regular inspection and test procedures of fire protection equipment
• Obtains test certificates of machinery lifting equipment & etc., which needs periodical inspection and test to ensure a safe operation
• Prepares specification of personal protective equipment (PPE) and clothing as well as safety devices and fire equipment
• Environment protection and pollution control (Noise, Heat, Stress, Chemical handling)
