Manage electrical design changes, performed by contracting or Nawah staff at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP), and serve as the custodian of the electrical design basis to ensure that plant design changes are managed in accordance with controlled processes. 1- Modification Management Program Execution Mange the electrical design basis of BNPP and supervise the engineering activities of the Electrical design group to ensure that engineering activities are consistent with the design bases.
Manage the modifications to the plant’s electrical design, to ensure that: - Plant nuclear safety remains adequate. - Regulatory standards are met. - Plant configuration is maintained. - Human performance is adequately accounted for. - Plant effectiveness is maintained or improved according to the corporate objectives.
Lead the design and safety related analysis to support safe reliable operation of BNPP.
Govern the technical documentation within Life-Cycle Data Management (LDM) related to the nuclear program to ensure current and useful data.
Implement and manage improvements to the Modification Management Program, based on Operational Experience (OPEX) to increase timeliness and accuracy and reduce cost.
Provide support to Procurement in the nuclear classification of parts and services and preparations of procurement specifications for the procurement of new electrical plant equipment to facilitate high quality purchases at lowest costs.
Manage the execution of electrical design changes with internal resources or external suppliers to optimize cost and schedule.
Monitor Electrical Design engineering cyber security participation to ensure that engineers are referring potential risks to the Design Engineering Cyber Security Action Team member.
Oversee Electrical Design seismic qualification reviews and specification development to ensure consistency with seismic program requirements.
Oversee the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) change impact assessment to ensure that design changes are consistent with the requirements of the FSAR
2- Configuration Management Process Management & Implementation Designate the electrical design information required to support the configuration management process.
Verify the adequate transfer of the electrical design information from design/ construction to operation, and as appropriate prepare requests for additional information to establish the mechanical configuration management equilibrium.
Ensure databases, which includes the “as built” electrical design information, is comprehensive, and as appropriate make recommendation to improve.
Oversee the development and implementation of the Modification Management Program to ensure plant’s electrical design changes are managed in accordance with controlled processes.
Lead the execution of Configuration Management Process and electrical design plant modification requests to ensure engineering activities are consistent with the design bases and design changes are managed in accordance with controlled processes.
Manage the Electrical design professionals and material resources required to maintain and execute the Modification Management Pro ram and ensure that these resources are available when required.
3- Staff Training and Qualification Provide training and qualification support in the development of Design Engineers to provide the plant a well-qualified and effective workforce.
Specify the training requirements for the personnel involved in design engineering at corporate and plant levels to ensure operational readiness of engineering personnel.
Validate that the Design Engineering team is adequately staffed for the transition to Operation to support safe and reliable operation.
4- Licensing Support Respond to Licensing regarding discipline specific requests and Requests for Additional Information, to ensure that Licensing has accurate and valid information.
5- Budget Prepare and consolidate the Department’s budget and monitor financial performance during the year
6- Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support Support outage and the ERO, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support. 7- Operational Planning Provide input into the development of the Division’s systems, processes and procedures, as well develop and implement the Department’s systems and processes, identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure efficient, effective, safe and risk-free operations as well as compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
Monitor, control and report Operational and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPls) related to the Department, to track performance and recommend corrective or mitigating actions.
Ensure that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, and meet the Department’s requirements and standards.
8- Health and Safety and Security Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Division/Department/Section by the delivery of the Health and Safety Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality services and a responsible environmental attitude.
Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission critical activities.
9- People Management Manage the effective achievement of the Organization’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, and providing formal and informal constructive feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy.
Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance.
10- Excellence and Quality Management • Ensure commitment to a culture of continuous improvement by el iminating waste following operations procedures, practicing innovation, problem solving, and teamwork; complying with Quality Management System policies and procedures; providing and receiving constructive feedback, and striving to meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations. • Ensure Commitment to the Nawah Fundamentals.
المهارات
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related Science.
• 10 years of relevant experience, out of which :
- 2 years in a Managerial role. OR,
- 2 years of Nuclear Power Plant Engineering.
