Position Overview:
As a member of the Strategy & Business Development department, the engagement manager will own and drive critical ongoing strategic initiatives, and business development activities with the responsibility of delivering on budget and time while overseeing the quantitative and qualitative analysis of finance managers of the different assets. The individual will work directly with asset senior managers and executives of the Strategic Planning, Corporate Development, and Corporate Finance groups to execute on a range of M&A;, early-stage investment, Capital budgeting, financing, and strategic planning activities. The position will be responsible for overseeing as well as developing financial models, conducting key industry analyses, evaluating company business models, and shaping the development and execution of corporate strategies. The engagement manager will be tasked with synthesizing the analysis into presentation materials for Executive team members and board as well as external parties.
Typical Responsibilities:
· Project Management: Develop work plans, roadmaps, and templates to track and organize strategic planning activities, and support internal brainstorming and knowledge sharing. Drive the execution and implementation of the different strategic workstreams
· Stakeholder Relations: Efficiently manage joint venture partners, suppliers/contractors, advisors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders
· Modeling/Financial Analysis: Create, modify and/or review different financial, economic, or other models (e.g., valuation, financial projections, project finance, econometric, etc.) to support strategic decisions or M&A;transactions, applying critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and data analysis
· Discussion Materials: Prepare presentation materials synthesizing research findings, data, analysis and recommendations in a clear and logical manner, for discussion with working teams and presentation to senior management.
· Research: Conduct market research, competitive landscape assessments and benchmarking of companies through several means, including subject matter expert interviews, review of industry reports, literature search, and insights from conferences/webinars among others.
المهارات
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, policy analysis, or a related discipline
· Six or more years of experience in aggregate across management consulting, private equity, project finance, quantitative analysis, and/or investment banking
· Strong industry expertise in Power & Water as well as O&G;industries
Desired qualifications:
· MBA
· Experience in an energy company leading international acquisitions, formation of joint venture partnerships, development of Greenfield/Brownfield power generation facilities, and arranging associated non/limited-recourse debt financing for such ventures
· In-depth familiarity with international legal/regulatory, tax, accounting, and other matters relevant for financial, commercial, and contractual structuring of power plants, partnerships / joint ventures, and acquisitions
