Job Description and Requirements
The Opportunity:
The Department of Psychology invites applications to join a pool of adjuncts prepared to teach a wide variety of undergraduate-level courses (such as introductory Psychology, counseling, developmental psychology, personality, social, organizational psychology or a course or two within area of expertise below):
• Clinical/Counseling Psychology/Mental Health/Abnormal
• Positive Psychology. • Personality or Social Psychology.
• Cognitive Psychology. • Biopsychology or Health Psych.
• Organizational Psychology. • Developmental Psychology. The Requirements:
Candidate must be flexible and prepared to teach any of the above courses with advanced notice, if their preferred topic is not available. Candidate must be organized and collaborative. They must be qualified to offer high-quality teaching in Psychology at the Bachelor levels in a student-centered environment; some office hours are expected (depending on sections taught). Preference will be given to those with a PhD; Masters-level applicants will be considered. Between one and five sections may be offered per semester depending on areas of expertise, availability and need. (Number of courses and sections taught are as available or negotiable.) Other assignments (related to research or internship mentorship, for example) may be available, if desired, and others as agreed.
