Job Description and Requirements
Position Summary
To act as a liaison between Faculty, Students, IT Support, and external solution providers to manage the live broadcasting of online synchronous lectures (Lectures Online) for face-to-face and remote.To facilitate the system-wide adoption of hybrid course delivery models by gathering end-user feedback, providing coaching and support, and guaranteeing continuous system improvement through technical and pedagogical knowledge of synchronous online learning, blended learning, and distance learning.
Operational
Act as the reference point for the Lectures Online service, in collaboration with Faculty, IT support teams and Students regarding technical, user experience (UX), and pedagogical aspects.
Assist the Senior Manager and the Assistant Manager - e-Content Development, in defining the team strategy regarding the Lectures Online aspects.
Communicate and enforce the Lectures Online policy with academics and IT support staff.
Contribute to research projects related to the implementation of the Lectures Online system at HCT.
Provide expert advice to other HCT Project Teams to individuate and test the most effective technologies and pedagogical approaches for synchronous teaching & learning.
Organize workshops to diffuse relevant information related to the Lectures Online service, and coach Faculty staff in improving pedagogical and technical competences.
Create and animate an online community of academic users of the Lectures Online System.
Provide individual instructional design coaching for Lectures Online delivery.
Conduct periodic support Q&A;sessions with Faculty to improve teaching & learning using the Lectures Online classrooms.
Design and develop training resources and job aids for faculty and students, in collaboration with the Professional Development department.
Select, test with users, and introduce suitable Lectures Online EdTech tools for synchronous/-synchronous delivery.
Design lesson plans and presentation templates for Lectures Online course delivery according to evidence-based pedagogical principles.
Monitor user satisfaction by carrying out continuous user experience assessment (surveys, focus groups, live observation, etc.) to ensure that the Lectures Online service is effective, efficient, and engaging for students and faculty.
Ensure that Lectures Online are delivered synchronously to all the connected campuses without technical issues.
Ensure that Lectures Online are recorded and made available to HCT students in an easily accessible way through systems that are commonly used by them, such as the HCT LMS & Video repository platforms.
Capture, report, and solve technical and UX problems in collaboration with IT.
Run periodic inspections to ensure that equipment and furniture are in proper functional condition, in collaboration with IT and Facilities department.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (Education, Design, Management, Communication, Marketing, Multimedia, EdTech, or equivalent)
Full English proficiency is required
Advanced computer literacy is required
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the education technology field, ideally in the HE sector
Experience with synchronous teaching and learning tools and methods
Experience with LMS/CMS platforms
Experience with production/editing and management of instructional video assets is a plus
Participation in research projects or UX initiatives is a plus
