Job Description and Requirements
Position Summary
To support the Senior Manager e-Content Development in the implementation of the division’s strategy and the management of complex e-Learning projects. To evaluate and define design methodologies, pedagogical approaches, and innovative technologies to produce e-Learning Content/courses and oversee user research plans in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
Strategic
Support the work of the Senior Manager e-Content development and contribute to strategic decisions.
Contribute to the formulation and execution of the Education Technology strategy.
Draft and curate policies and procedures document related to e-Learning, Blended Learning, and e-Content design & development.
Collaborate with the concerned stakeholders to understand the business requirements of HCT’s various functions and campuses and to determine pedagogical/technology needs.
Build networks by establishing contacts across the Higher Education sector in learning design and online/ blended learning.
Operational
Responsible for the project management processes of the e-Content Development team (agile/lean project management); contribute to the creation of high performing and positive team environment which can thrive under clearly defined deadlines and allocations of responsibility.
Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders for project planning and timeframes about project delivery schedules.
Actively participate in meetings and communication channels, and work collaboratively with all project team members to ensure tight deadlines are achieved using all team members’ expertise and creativity appropriately.
Provide and seek feedback on plans, designs, and created resources in a timely and constructive manner to ensure accurate and high-quality creation of deliverables.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with faculty, academic, and professional services staff at a broad range of levels disciplines.
Responsible for individuating appropriate design methodologies, pedagogical approaches, and technologies to develop e-Content and learning objects for self-paced and instructor-led training to enhance the learning experience in the classroom and the connected online environments.
People management
Provide coaching and professional development support to team members and selected colleagues from Education Technologies Faculty and other business units.
Collaborate with the Human Resources function for the recruitment of talent within Education Technologies.
Contribute effectively and efficiently to the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (Education, Design, Management, Communication, Marketing, Multimedia, EdTech, or equivalent)
Full English proficiency is required.
Advanced computer literacy is required
Project Management and design-related certificates are a plus
Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in designing online/blended courses based on learning science evidence, ideally in a higher education environment
Experience in e-Learning content development, digital storytelling, and relevant storyboarding techniques
Experience in public speaking/presentation delivery, design-workshop facilitation
Experience in agile e-learning project management and stakeholders management
