The position will be in charge of maintaining and administrating the Qlik overall environment in addition to developing new Qlik products based on the users’ requirements and enhancing the existing Qlik Apps.
Expected to work with the analysts from the BI team and the SME from the users groups to develop requirements into products and conduct users testing, training, and keep an up to date documentation stack.
A successful candidate will be analytical with a problem-solving aptitude having extensive prior experience in Qlik development and system administration. Holds some knowledge of training, change management and data validation, Has Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
Responsibilities:
1. Performing detailed analysis of source system data and model that data in Qlikview / QlikSense.
2. Designing, developing, and testing Qlikview / Qlik Sense scripts to import data from multiple source systems.
3. Developing, enhancing, re-engineering, maintaining and supporting Qlikview / Qlik Sense applications to meet customer requirements.
4. Effectively visualizing data in Qlikview / Qlik Sense applications (dashboards) to address business questions.
5. Design Business Intelligence delivery approaches using Dashboards, Alerts, Queries, Reports, etc.
6. Ensuring that the Qlikview / Qlik Sense applications and server processes continue to run and operate in the most efficient manner.
7. Extracting, transforming and loading (ETL) data from multiple sources into Qlikview / Qlik Sense applications.
8. Ability to adhere to both Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies.
9. Monitoring and maintenance of all components that make up the Qlikview / Qlik Sense platform, including databases, software, user applications and hardware design.
10. Driving the adoption of standards and governance to ensure the company’s Qlikview / Qlik Sense platform remains stable, reliable, and secure for all users.
11. Participating in a collaborative work environment, across both business entities/ facilities.
12. Interacting frequently with business owners/stakeholders to gather requirements and business data rules for new development projects and assist in defect resolution during testing, etc.
13. Analyze and document business processes to create functional specifications, and translate requirements into feasible technical specifications that fulfil the end-user requirements and align to business data strategies.
14. Document and communicate technical specifications to ensure that proper and optimized techniques, queries, data standards and final deliverables are understood and incorporated into data and analytics processes.
15. Provide training and documentation for supported applications.
16. Assist developers and DBA’s with troubleshooting and offer suggestions for development improvements.
17. Automation of data mining / retrieval, as appropriate.
18. Provide operational support, bug fixes and performance enhancements as part of providing support to Qlikview / Qlik Sense applications in the production environment.
19. Analyze alternate States and What-if-Analysis to provide custom functionality in Qlikview / QlikSense applications and offer hands-on experience on Set Analysis and Link table.
20. Qlik Management Console , performance fine tuning.
21. Perform predictive analytics whenever required.
المهارات
Preferred Skills
1. Proven experience as a Qlik BI Developer & or as administrator
2. Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modelling) and data mining.
3. In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
4. Expertise in diagnosing, analysing, and resolving technical issues
5. Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI / OBIEE)
6. Understanding of Big Data & Data science concepts .
Experience
1. 3 years of development experience with Qlik Sense & at least one end to end implementation.
2. Experience in Nprinting
3. Industry experience with healthcare preferred
4. Familiarity with Oracle eBusiness Data Model is a plus
5. Familiarity with Cerner Millennium Data Model is a plus
Professional / Educational qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
2. Qlik Certification is a plus
