Job Description and Requirements
Principle Accountability and Responsibility:
Lead the Materials Specifications and organize the work to deliver on time and quality
Control the compliance of the Materials Specifications and ensure the feasibility/constructability
Be part of the Procurement Package Review and of the ITP Implementation
Coordinate the review of HRCP Company Technical Leads
Conduct Workshop Visits and Internal Audits to ensure the execution is as per the specifications – Follow-up with the audits as and when required
Participate in prequalification audits, factory audits upon request
Review the temporary works Assumptions Notes and Coordinate with Senior Methods Manager the detailed definition and design as needed
Ensure that the Quality and Safety standards are integrated in all the process of design
Project-wide role – ensures that documentation, the various inspection control processes, all testing procedures and materials/equipment submittals are properly implemented and fully comply to the Project Requirements and QMS
Advice and support subcontractors in the QMS requirements. Select and Approve any Sub / consultant / peer reviewer as required, and as soon as Sign and seal is required
Directly assists the Quality Manager for analysis, consolidation and presentation of Project Key Performance Indicators (e.g. NCRs, audits, inspection approval rates, MAF approvals, procurement, design, etc.)
Provides technical and functional support and facilitates the interfaces of the various QC and Design/Engineering Teams
Able to spot any issues or nonconformance that could potentially have an important effect which needs the attention of the Quality Manager and Design & Engineering Coordinator
Critical role in the review, completeness, traceability and auditability of Quality Records and As-built Packages throughout the Project life cycle
Ensure the instruction from the Design & Engineering Coordinator and QC Manager are properly disseminated to the stakeholders and any department involved in the Process
Ensure that all the QMS procedures are understood and perform training/coaching if needed
Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree Engineering preferred.
Minimum of 15 years experience on a specialist role and preferably on large civil infrastructure projects
3 years Gulf Experience
Knowledge in specialist products is an advantage (concrete, reinforcement, steel specifications)
