Job Description and Requirements Leading the cost reporting of all allocated projects, including Cost Forecasting, Anticipated Final Cost, Cost of Work Done, Gross Billing and Current Contract Value. Leading, monitoring, managing and reporting on all commercial and contract aspects of all allocated projects and propose mitigating actions at the earliest opportunity to the Program Senior Contracts Manager. Leading the commercial review of contractor delivery of projects & lead valuation progress meetings. Leading the assessment and valuation of applications in accordance with Program processes, contractual terms and conditions and commensurate with contractual entitlement. Lead the challenge of cost elements, audit where appropriate and confirm whether valuations are consistent with agreed site progress. Providing pro-active specialist advice on all change including proposed scope changes, in accordance with the Program change control systems, in accordance with levels of delegated authority. Recommending mitigating action on all commercial risk/claim events at the earliest possible time. Reviewing contractual claims reports, identify emerging problems and recommend solutions for implementation to Program Director for authorisation, as appropriate. Provision of ad-hoc management information to promote informed decision-making. Managing all commercial correspondence and contractual notices issued in accordance with contractual conditions to confirm whether the Employer’s contractual position is clearly defined. Leading the final account settlements on all projects to manage close out as per the project authority, project plan and within agreed timescale’s. Supporting pre and post contract procurement activities as and when required. Leading the negotiation of all prices under existing contracts and fully participate in the associated Quantitative Risk Assessment and Value Management Workshops. Contracts Educated to degree level or equivalent and professional qualification. Excellent effective written and verbal communication skills. 8+ years’ relevant railway experience.
