Job Description and Requirements Manage Main Contractor, their Sub-Contractors and Suppliers · Manage the duties of team of the Engineers Field Engineers in liaison with Engineers Construction team · Management of NCR Process, both Engineers and Contractors · Plan and coordinate Contractors Inspections, Tests and Laboratories · Carry out Surveillance of the Contractors and Sub-Contractors works · Supervising Site Lab Testing and coordinating with Independent Laboratories · Evaluation (visits may be required) of Contractors Sub-Contractors and Suppliers suitability · Chair and minute Weekly Quality Meetings with Main Contractor (stand-in when required) · Assisting in audits and auditing duties · Assist in reviewing of Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and Laboratory Test Reports · Assist in reviewing of Method Statements, ITPs, Material Submittals and Quality documents · Assist in the preparation of procedures, plans, flowcharts, where required · Assist in Carrying out Quality Inductions and Training · Assist in consolidating data, statistical analysis, KPI preparation and daily/weekly/monthly report writing · Assist in reviewing Materials Submittals and Inspection & Test Reports · Promote Continuous Improvement, Lessons Learned and Preventative Action · Must be able and willing to work in multi-cultural working environment and treat each person equally · Strong conflict resolution as well as influencing and negotiating skills necessary to resolve issues involving staff, stakeholders and senior management · Ability to function in a time-sensitive environment where decisiveness, problem solving ability, planning and implementation skills are key behavioural components. Qualifications: · Quality Engineers must have a Bachelors’ degree from an accredited educational institution in engineering or engineering technology, and a minimum of 8 years of experience of which at least 5 years shall have been in the quality function within engineering organisations involved in projects of a similar nature. · Preferably Quality Management qualification · Preferably IRCA Lead Assessor/Auditor Certificate (ISO 9001: 2015) Preferred experience and Qualifications: · Infrastructure Projects, especially Rail · Trackwork · Roads, Bridges, Underpasses, · Asphalting · Preferably Tunnels & Shotcreting · Earthworks, Aggregates and Ballast · Concrete – RMC/Pre-Cast/Pre-Stressed · Materials Testing and Evaluation · Preferably worked for major Consultancy on major projects |
