Job Description and Requirements
Carry out assigned pipeline design work as part of a multi-discipline project team
Maybe required to perform site surveys and data gathering exercises at various project locations
To provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
Assume responsibility for the Pipeline design/drafting scope for the project
Develop cost effective pipeline design and drawings
To coordinate with other disciplines for interdisciplinary checks
Display a working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, good mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of engineering
To prepare pipeline route studies, desktop studies based on survey inputs
To prepare Pipeline Overall Route Maps, Key Plans, Alignment Sheets, Station Approach drawings Alignment sheets, pipeline typical construction drawings, etc. in accordance with project specifications, international cods and standards
Preparation of Pipeline Detail / Bulk MTO
To carry out detailed high quality site visits, pipeline route surveys and associated data collection
Preparation of Piping input Drawings for On-plot / off-plot interface Areas at Process Plant
Coordination with Topographical Contractors and Site personnel for preparation of AFC Alignment sheets
Diploma qualification or HND in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in an engineering design company as a Pipeline Designer
Knowledge of site-based project work involving field engineering and construction
Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
Previous Onshore Oil and Gas related Pipeline design experience
Thorough awareness of International Design Guidelines and Standards
A determination to continually improve safety in all aspects of plant design and operation
Familiarity with typical software packages that are used in preparing pipeline design drawings (Auto CAD, Google Earth)
Familiarity with different coordinate systems used in pipeline drawings preparation
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills in English and Bulgarian is a must
