The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a leading role in providing design leadership and discipline integration of projects delivered by the Built Environment business. Using technical experience and excellent people skills, the Senior Electrical Engineer will manage projects and guide / mentor less experienced engineers to produce designs and associated deliverables for projects. The role will provide a client facing lead for projects and ensure that Jacobs maintains the highest technical standards, levels of service and quality.
Main Responsibilities
Leading the delivery of technical outputs of projects and the seamless sharing of information with other discipline teams;
Ensuring technical quality through implementation of best practice and continuous
Representing Jacobs in liaising with clients, architects and other design team members;
improvement processes;
Leading a team of Electrical Building Services Engineers
Develop talent by coaching and mentoring less experienced staff and supporting their technical career development aspirations;
Assisting in the preparation of technical and commercial bid proposals.
Design of lighting and electrical engineering services across aviation, rail, high tech, commercial and education sectors
Design of power distribution including cable sizing and protection studies.
Design lighting, Fire Alarm, security and comms systems.
Application of industry standard design and calculation software such as Amtech, Dialux etc
Preparation of reports, drawings and specifications
Project management of suitable projects
Compliance with design and QA procedures
Monitoring of installation works on site and observance of technical compliance and H&S;matters
