Key tasks / duties (not limited to)
1. undertaking patient assessments of physical, communication, interaction and cognitive skills
2. Meets the patient’s goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting
evaluations and test results; determining occupational therapy treatment plans in
consultation with physicians or by prescription.
3. Developing a rehabilitation programme to help rebuild lost skills and restore lost confidence;
4. Advising on home and workplace environmental alterations, such as adjustments for
wheelchair access;
5. Teaching anxiety management techniques;
6. Assisting people to return to work;
7. Mentoring people on how to control their own behavior; liaising with other professionals, such
as Doctors, physiotherapists, equipment suppliers and architects, giving advice and arranging
support for family members, carers and clients.
8. Writing reports and attending multidisciplinary case meetings to plan and review ongoing
treatment;
9. Organizing support and rehabilitation groups for carers and clients;
10. managing a caseload, prioritizing needs, and completing administrative tasks such as patient
and budgetary records
11. planning and providing appropriate treatment/graded activities
12. planning further treatment and reviewing progress
13. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in
professional societies.
14. Develops occupational therapy staff by providing information; developing and conducting in-
service training programs
المهارات
Qualifications / Experience:
1. Bachelor degree or Diploma from an accredited institution in
Occupational Therapy minimum of three (3) years course duration.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
3. HAAD license as an Occupational Therapist
4. Current CPR(validated within the last 24 months)
5. Proficiency in English, Arabic will be an added advantage.
