Ags is looking for an energetic and focused Product Line Manager. This position is responsible to drive market adoption of an industry-leading solution in the industrial automation market. This role will also develop specific marketing plans and activities for Line products to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
Responsibilities:
• - Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace.
• - Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.
• - Develops sales tools, train the local product managers and the sales team.
• - Works with engineering and sales to develop new applications and enhance existing products.
• - Sales support - Sales ready presentations/ messaging/sales tool/marketing campaigns - Direct selling
• - Customer prioritization
• - Represent ags in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner.
• - Represents the ags Guiding Principles through personal and business interactions with employees, distributors, and colleagues.
Requirements:
• - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Mechatronics Engineering preferred.
• - Minimum of five (5) years of sales and/or marketing experience and a strong background with products/companies in the industrial automation.
• - Must have excellent technical product knowledge, communication, and presentation skills.
• - Active listening and negotiating skillfully with both internal and external groups are necessary.
• - High degree of comfort in front of customers and potential customers is essential.
• - Strong interpersonal skills are required both externally for customer interaction and internally to build strong multi-functional teams that are essential for successful product developments.
• - Develop total strategic Marketing plan for assigned product lines.
• - Communicate frequently with the entire sales force, customers and distributors by phone and email.
• - Must display an outgoing personality
• - Must be a team player and work closely together with other ags team members.
• - Strong relationship builder and a strong personal desire to win.
• - Highly motivated self-starter and financially driven.
• - Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally.
• - Good organization skills.
• - Team player mentality but able to work independently as required.
• - Ability to sell direct and via indirect distribution channels.
• - Energetic, aggressive and focused.
• - Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning and communication skills (written and oral).
• - Ability to travel.
• - Strong analytical problem-solving skills in technical and non-technical area.
• - Strong project management skill and experience
