Ruby On Rails Developer is required for an IT solutions company in Alexandria, The successful candidate should have the following:
- Putting estimations about the time frame for ending projects.
- ROR developer will code, debug, and unit test systems per requirements and technical design.
- DB Design and Development, Developer will be expected to code, update, debug and optimize SQL. In the case of new or existing relational databases new hire will be expected to lead the data design and produce enterprise-level data models.
- Review and analyze requirements / write estimates. Developer will review requirements and design documents to produce estimates and task lists based on those requirements.
- Support, refactor and enhance an existing production system.
- Developing and maintaining dynamic websites and web applications.
- Ensuring foolproof performance of the deliverable.
- Coordinating with co-developers and other related departments.
- Sending regular updates about project status.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Computer Science degree or equivalent.
- Strong development skills with minimum 2 year Ruby On Rails experience(With proven work experience samples).
- Strong backend development skills.
- Good knowledge of JRuby or Java.
- Familiarity with using RubyGems package manager
- Knowledge of some Front End skills such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Familiarity with RSpec, PostgreSQL, jQuery, Bootstrap, GitHub and AJAX.
- Data streaming and messaging.
- Ruby on Rails 3/ 4
- RVM
- Ruby 1.9
- Sockets programming/ TCP
- XML streams digesting/ processing
- Message passing systems (e.g., 0MQ)
- Ability to work as part of a team and as outsourced development.
- Ability to follow the agile process.
