Grand Plaza Hotel & Resort Hurghada is searching for the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager with prior experience on the same position at least one year within the hotels.
Will overview overall operation and co-ordination of all food and beverage departments and compliance with established food and beverage policies and practices of the hotel with key focus on the service and standards of operations.
Responsibilities:
• Directs the activities of the food and beverage department to maintain and improve Productivity, food quality, service, creativity and merchandising to increase volume, Sales and profits.
• Maintain effective communication on the activities of the department with the other operating departments in the hotel in order to provide the best possible service to the guests of the hotel
• Directs the functions of the administration and planning of the food and beverage Department to meet the daily needs of the operation. Insures decisions are made that corresponds to those of the general manager and established policies.
• Establishes and implements policies with management and schedules for the operation of all restaurants and bars to achieve a productive and profitable result
• Describes, assigns and delegates responsibility and authority for the operation of various sub departments under his supervision, e.g. room service, restaurants, bars and stewarding
• Assists the sub department heads to establish and then achieve predetermined profit and productivity objectives and desired standards in food, service, sanitation, creativity, and merchandising and promotion areas
• Recommends candidates for the career development institute, or cross exposure in other hotels
• Prepares position descriptions for sub department heads and assistants.
• Furnishes guidance to sub department heads on public relations and sales and how to liaise with those two departments.
• Hires and discharges all food and beverage supervisors and assistants.
• Oversees the departmental skills training program and is responsible for having relevant manuals revised as necessary.
• Conducts regular communication meetings in absence of F&B;Manager with sub department heads and oversees the entire communication meeting program with his or her sub departments.
